“METAMORPHOSIS”
Fascinated by the work of the internationally established Spanish painter and sculptor Manolo Valdés, LAVIATE launches Spring Summer 2023 collection “Metamorphosis” celebrating the female figure with the form of nature. The different materials that the artist presents through his exhibitions combine stainless steal, bronze and aluminum, shaped to perfection redefining the portraiture of women, are elements that intrigues the designers’ inspiration for this season. This notion reflects the relationship of power between women and environment and is portrayed through sculptural volumes and bold shapes visualizing hand crafted flowers. Voluminous shapes are applied to emphasize the upper part of the designs colocating femininity with serenity in a dynamic approach. Stylish heads adorned with crowns full of butterflies and the huge bold sculptures resin with pigment of Infanta Margarita are considered to be the New LAVIATE Muses as Valdés creates and endless interaction between sculptures, vivid colors and nature which determine the brand’s Spring Summer prints and textures.
